Every season brings its own charm and special reasons to go on a road trip. Winter Road Trips are no exception, and can be a great experience.
However, driving in the winter needs to done with caution, especially in destinations where snow is possible. Some roads are not recommended unless you have a 4x4 vehicle and snow chains, and certainly you will need an emergency kit with blankets, food, and more. When planning a Winter Road Trip, you simply need to also plan for winter contingencies so you have a Plan B if you get stuck.
A simple example of winter driving advice is to ALWAYS keep your gas tank topped off. Do not drive that last quarter tank assuming you will get to the next service station.
